We ( Shaubhik , Susmith, Vasanth) started from Buchest @ 1PM for to see some places in Romania.
We finished our meeting and our colleagues helped pack some sandwich. We took a mimi van Benz and started on National highway 1. The first place we would go is Sinnayo, to see a castle.
I did not know that in some countries people always drive with light on. US,Sweden,Romania.
We are to do a 1000 km journey in 2 days. We cross komark at 2:20. We reached sinaia, went through sinaia ( named after a mountain in arabian penensula) monastery to reach Peles castle. It was around 3PM when we reached there. There are two castles here Peles built in Germanic Neo Renaissance style and Pelisor( the smaller one). We visited the national museum Peles. There is a fee of 20 LEi for entrance. There arts, arms and furniture from 15th to 19th century from Greek, india, Turkish, Iran, Italy, austrian. there is a music hall, several recetion halls, library. It Is quite advanced here with vacuum cleaner, electricity, lifts. The queen was Elizabeth, king Carol 1, the castle was built some time in 1880s.
From Sinaia we headed towards Bran, where we will see the famous Dracula castle. It will be 1 hour from here depending on traffic.
Transylvania, Moldova, Valahia maramures and Donrogea are 5 regions in Romania. Dracula was king of south.
On the way to Brasov, we find Ranov (chk)where the movie 'Cold mountain' - Nicole kidman- was taken.
The Bran castle is built on the top of a rock in 1377. it connects Muntenia and Transilvania. Inside there is a museum with art from medieval times. This castle is aslo know for Dracula as depicted by Brain Stocker.
Brain stocker(Chk) from Ireland heard about vampires from a friend who visited Romania and wrote the novel Dracula . He was a great king fighting Turks .
Barn Castle- 1377- is aslo know for impalers, and King Dracula is one.

At Bran, Stork bird in bran . Saw a nest. It is a belief that it brings baby.
Brasov has a Old city and new city, it's know for Black church after a fire in 16th century and Nicolae Church and first Romanian school.

Dinner at 9 @ casa romaneasca, traditional Romanian place, where I ordered rice with vegetables. He he he.
We started with A shot of Tuica which would warm us up in a quite cold, hilly region, traditional again, he he he
We ordered for Zakuska tomoto salad and salate de vinete - egg plant salad with garlic sauce. Ideal for a vegetarian like me

In the morning after Breakfast we visited the st. Nicolae in the old district of Brasov, Schei built in 15-16th century. We also visited the the first romanian school there built in 15 th century. We also saw one of the oldest press in that school. I and Susmith picked up a couple of posters from the school. Most Romanians Orthodox.
We also saw the Jewish worship place (Chk)- 0n german style streets while going to the Black chruch.
Black Church : Built in 14-15th century, it has gothic style and is one of the largest gothic style churches in Romania. It is said to be built by german - 500 yrs old in 14rh century for over 100 years. Unfortunately there was a fire in 1689 in which most of the church was burnt. You will find church decorated with Ottoman style rugs.

We were at the Brasov town square having. it was 12 Noon when we Suddenly heard live music played from the clock tower. Surprisingly there were gun shots at the end too. That was a pleasant surprise for all of us. Later we heard The schedule is 6 pm in the week days and 12 noon durin week ends.
After starting from Brasov at 1 pm, we reached Sighisoata at around 3pm. It isthe medeval fest here and should be good fun!!. We also visited the house, now hotel where Dracula was born. We also climbed up the watch tower to get a spectacular view of the city.ofcourse we got all sorts of Funny things there.
It was great funat the fest. Lots of shopping, music and sweets. We also visited the weapon, torture and clock towers.
We started from Sighisoara at 7.15 and reached sibhu at 9:15. The hotel was right in the Center of the city, we went to a near by hotel and crashed to bed by 11:30. Dinner was at Crams Sibiu.
Evangelical cathedral where we climbed. Imp city of tv where Germany colonised.Lairs bridge. Double wall protection.
Cable car at Lake baleâ/ at an altitude of 2000 m, great fun
Curtea de arges @ 5 pm. First cap of valahia. Here when the structure where falling soon after construction, a human sacrifice was made. Like Tajmahal, the stairs were removed for craftsen and they tried to fly and died.
